I am so excited to announce that my blog has been chosen by Writer’s Digest as one of the 101 Best Websites for Writers.
A big, big thank you to everyone who took the time to email their nominations. Your support means the world to me.
You can see all 101 sites in the May/June edition. And if you’re not already a subscriber, I highly recommend it (and just for the record, I’m in no way compensated for singing their praises, I just really think it’s a great publication). I’ve been reading it religiously since I first caught the writing bug back in 2007.
I’d also like to thank the readers who have, in the past many months, emailed to say that my blog has helped them in their writing in some small way. You guys are my inspiration and the reason I keep this blog going. The award is just icing on the cake – but WHOO BOY is that some yummy icing.
Thanks again everyone!

Congratulations from OZ 🙂 FYI – I was forcibly retired by old work injuries 6 years ago, & began writing fiction tales about my people in Australia prior to Colonial settlement. It turned into 10 stand-alone books that are completed and now self-published in e-books & print. I loved every steep-learning curve of a becoming an indie-author/publisher…

Congrats, John,
Sounds like those stories needed to be told. Good for you for taking the plunge and telling them.
Cheers,
April

Do we ever stop learning? Please say yes…. 😉
April says
Haha! Never! (wicked laugh here) My advice: embrace it.

That’s why I’m here. 🙂
I’ve been searching for a blog that can give me usable advice. Happy to say Writer’s Digest took me to yours. Good job!

Thanks Bryan, so glad to have you. What are you working on these days?
Bryan Fagan says
Happy Thursday, April!!!
What am I working on. Well, lets see:
1) My editor and I are working out the wrinkles of my novel. For the last two days I have been working on a rewrite of a chapter. I am brain exhausted at the moment. I just sent it off to her so fingers crossed it worked.
2) I am attempting to resurrect a dead novel. I liked the idea but I wrote it wrong. I am bringing my notes to my writer’s group next week for some brain storming ideas.
3) I am working on an outline for a future novel.
How about you?
April says
Hi, Bryan,
Still plugging away at the first novel. I have an outline and a bunch of pages for the next novel, but I haven’t let myself spend too much time on it yet. I’m still learning a lot as I try to finish this first one. Good luck with your work, and keep me posted. Cheers,
April
