Writing is a lot like exercise. The longer we go without doing it, the harder it is to pick up again when we want to.
If you're not getting much writing done these days, it's not your fault, and you are not alone. The summer months can be distracting, with so many fun things to do. But what if you could enjoy your summer without giving up on your writing?
Introducing the Sit Write Here Summer Writing Sprint:
Commit to two writing sessions a week, every Saturday and Sunday, from 9:30–11:00 AM PT, starting June 14. You’ll also be invited to two live Group Coaching sessions with April. These special sessions offer a chance to ask questions, get personalized support, and learn strategies to help you make the most of your writing time.
Spend just a few focused hours each weekend to keep your story alive and active in your mind, so that when you return to it in earnest this fall, you won’t be starting from zero.

ALL THE DETAILS:
When you register for the Sit Write Here Summer Writing Sprint, you’ll automatically get an email with all the details to log into our Kajabi Community, where the sessions will be held. (Don’t worry—we’ll also send reminders before each session so you’re never scrambling for the link.)
The meeting room will open 5 minutes before our official start time. We will begin every session promptly at 9:30 am PT with a 15-minute meditation. If you log on a few minutes late and everyone is just sitting there with their eyes closed, don't be confused, we're just letting go of all our distractions so we can make the most of our writing time.
We will then write for an hour. The meeting leader will give a 5 minute warning before our time is up. If you're on a roll and want to log off and keep writing, great! If you're ready to call it a day, then wrap things up in those last few minutes and hang out for a bit.
Every session will end with an optional 15 minute hang-out period. This is a great opportunity to get to know your fellow writers, ask questions, and generally celebrate that we got our writing done!
To support you even further, we’ve added two special live Group Coaching sessions with April. These sessions are a space to ask questions, receive guidance, and stay motivated throughout the ten-week sprint.

April Dávila is an award-winning author, speaker, and writing coach. Her debut novel, 142 Ostriches won the WILLA Award for Women Writing the West. Writer's Digest listed her website as one of the Best 101 Websites for Writers and she is the creator of the Sit Write Here writing coaching program, which integrates mindfulness meditation techniques to help writers quiet their inner critics, overcome writer's block, and edit more effectively. Her online Mindful Writing Community meets every single day to help writers get words on the page. She has taught at conferences and workshops online and in person in both the US and Mexico.
