Writing a novel is a delicious challenge...
To go from an idea to a finished draft requires an enormous amount of intention and execution. You not only have to get (a lot of) words on the page, you also have to consider character development, plot, story structure, dialogue, world building, style, voice, theme and so much more... It's no wonder so many aspiring authors take their hands off the keyboard in surrender.
I've been there. There was even one dark, sad night when I almost threw my unfinished novel in the trash, so believe me when I tell you, it's perfectly normal to get frustrated.
You've come to the right place.
YOU ABSOLUTELY CAN FINISH YOUR NOVEL
You absolutely can finish finish your novel, and I'm sorry to be the one to tell you, but you must. Just kidding. Kind of.
The truth is that if you've landed on this page the odds are good that you've written tens of thousands of words, perhaps even hundreds of thousands, and I can share with you, from experience, that once you're that deep into a project, you're hooked. The only way out is through. The good news: the work is absolutely worth it.
The four most beautiful words in the English language are "I loved your book."
You will get there. I can help.
How do you take a big pile of pages and
turn them into a beautiful story?
I'M SO GLAD YOU ASKED
I designed the Sit Write Here manuscript review program specifically to help writers who are well on their way to a finished novel, but need some support and guidance.
HOW IT WORKS
First Things First
I only take on a handful of manuscript review clients each year, so our first step is to make sure we're a good fit. We do that by hopping on a call. If we decide to move forward...
The Manuscript Review
You send me your manuscript and I give it a thorough read-through making detailed line edits and then compiling a full set of notes that I will deliver by an agreed upon date. (This usually takes one month.)
Continued Coaching
Often, once my clients have the full set of notes and are ready to jump into doing their revisions, they opt to continue working with me. Through the Path to Publication program writers find accountability, community, and all the support they need to finish their manuscript and find an agent.
