I will admit, this is the first time I’ve had a performance review (aside from a very awkward hour spent in the back room at a Starbucks in San Francisco with a male supervisor who had a crush on Daniel).

Most writers complain about not getting paid enough, but Jean Guerrero (that’s her name) and her fellow investigative journalists win this one hands down.

Since when do I need medication just to get through the day? Isn’t that what alcohol is for? Just kidding.

If I get in, every second is totally worth it. If I don’t, I’ve wasted hours that I could have spent writing.

Personally, I chose truth. But then again, I write fiction.

Like everything else in this life, I’m starting to realize that taking notes is a matter of practice
