Literary Events in Los Angeles for the week of March 12, 2018

LitLifeLA March 12 2018
Guys, we have a big week ahead of us.
Where to even start?
I guess you have to start with the Mark Sarvas publication party at Diesel on Tuesday. Many a local writer has studied under Sarvas UCLA Extension and this is the first event celebrating his long-awaited second novel. And then Edan Lepucki on Sunday at Book Soup. Like Sarvas, she has fostered many aspiring authors in LA, but through an organization of her own making – the Writer’s Workshop LA. Then there’s Kristen Hannah – twice in one week. And TWELVE other readings… I mean, DANG. Take your pick.

Literary Events in Los Angeles for the week of February 19, 2018

LitLifeLA February 19 2018
This week is a Vegas-style buffet for us lit-lovers.
I highly recommend the Yaa Gyasi event tomorrow, if you’re up for the drive out to Claremont. I saw her speak at the Pasadena Festival of Women Authors last year and was completely enamored. I’m also interested in the YA panel happening in La Cañada on Sunday. Romance, love and lust always make for good conversation.
Cheers.

What a week we have coming up. First of all – big high five to the Hammer Museum for live streaming their event with Roxane Gay tonight at 7:30. You can attend that one without leaving home. On Valentines Day at Skylight Books, you can check out some choose-your-own-adventure erotica (why didn’t I know this was a thing?).
